WHAT IS A

FITNESS

ASSESSMENT?

A fitness assessment is a one-on-one session designed to understand where you are today so we can build the right fitness plan for you.

With Coach Freeman, he doesn't focus on body fat percentages, measurements, or unrealistic fitness standards. Instead, you'll move through a modified fitness circuit while meeting with a him to discuss your fitness goals, athletic background, health history, and any injuries or limitations.

During the assessment, he’ll observe how your body moves, including your range of motion, technique, speed, balance, strength, and breathing patterns.

Our goal is simple: understand your starting point, see how you fit into the group circuit setting, and create a personalized plan that helps you move better, feel stronger, and build a healthier lifestyle based on your age, health, and body type.

CHAMPION-LEVEL

FITNESS ASSESSMENT

Be assessed by a champion in the city of champions

Born and raised in Inglewood, Coach Freeman has spent more than 30 years as a fitness coach and personal trainer helping people move better, get stronger, and build confidence through fitness and sports.

At 19 years old, Coach Freeman made history as a BMX World Champion. His accomplishments earned him a place in the Inglewood Hall of Fame, where he is recognized alongside other notable athletes from the City of Champions. He was also part of the "BMX Brothas," a generation of Black BMX riders in the 1990s who helped break barriers and expand opportunities in a predominantly white sport.

Over the years, Coach Freeman has trained youth, adults, beginners, and athletes across multiple sports, including cycling, basketball, soccer, tennis, and beyond. His clients and students have improved their performance, conditioning, strength, and body awareness through his training. Many have gone on to win championships and titles in their sport.

Part of what makes Coach Freeman’s coaching different is how he incorporates S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) into training. He uses movement and sports performance to teach discipline, problem-solving, body awareness, and the science of what is happening in the body and on the field.

Today, Coach Freeman remains an active competitive Masters cyclist with multiple championship titles and podium finishes, including a recent 2nd place finish at the California State Masters Championship. As a longtime member of Big Orange Cycling Club, he has served as Racing Director, Board Member, while continuing to coach and train his fellow Big Orange team members at the highest level.

His experience makes him uniquely qualified to lead fitness assessments. For more than three decades, he has worked with people of different ages, abilities, and fitness levels, helping them understand how their bodies move and where they can improve safely. When you complete a Fitness Assessment with Coach Freeman, you're working with someone who combines championship-level athletic experience with decades of hands-on coaching and training.

“The girls had to do the sand dunes this weekend. 10 trips up to the top was not a problem. This was their 1st time hitting the sand dunes this year. Normally it would be a problem. Their conditioning is pretty superior right now.

“I’m steadier on my feet, my posture is better, my range of motion is back and I’m overall stronger—I can even open jars now. I even have a gym in my own building, but I never used it because I don’t know what to do. Coach Freeman tells me exactly how to move, safely and effectively. I leave feeling stronger and I notice it at home and at work. This is my standing appointment—for me.”
